Christmas Day at Crater Lake

Dad and I enjoyed a short hike in one of the most beautiful places on earth Christmas afternoon...awe.

Christmas Eve 09

We had a wonderful time sharing Christmas Eve with Tonia, Dan, and Rich, and Tonia, Mark, Danielle and Shawn, Chelsea and Tyler, Derek, Ali, and Max. All 14 of us ate a turkey dinner with 4 desserts, and then opened presents amid all the chatter and laughter. It was so much fun! We wish that all of our family could have shared this special time with us!

Tonia, Dan, & Cassandra; a forever family...

The Perez family was sealed for time and all eternity in the Medford, Oregon Temple, on Saturday, November 7th. It was a sacred, sweet, and very spiritual occasion, and one that we will always treasure. The sealing room was nearly full of special people in their lives, who came to celebrate their big day with them. There were no dry eyes surrounding that altar, as covenants were made creating an eternal family. How blessed we feel at the tender mercies that continue to be showered on our family. We are so proud of Tonia, Dan, and Cassandra, and the decision they have all made to be a forever family. We love you guys so much! Congratulations!!!

We had a fun 64th birthday party for Dad. Tonia, Dan, and Cassandra, and Tonia, Mark, Chelsea, Derek, Ali, and Max came for a BIG ham and potatoes dinner. Tonia brought those stupid blower things and then everything got out of control. It was a blast! We do know how to party!!!

Diamond Lake campout...

We spent last weekend camping @ Diamond Lake with Mike, Ronda, and Cameron. We discovered some beautiful waterfalls in the area and hiked a trail up by one that is an impressive 272 feet. Cameron and I rode our bikes on the 11.5 mile bike trail around the lake one day, and then Dad and I went the next day. We also checked out Crater Lake which is a few short minutes away. Mike, Cameron, and I hiked up Garfield Peak and were rewarded with some outstanding views! Dad and Ronda checked out the lodge and gift shop area. Altogether, it was so enjoyable to share this time with the kids in the majesty of mountain peaks and the sparkling lakes which surrounded us. We can't wait to go again!!

Pomeroy Family Reunion 09

We had such a great time together at the Oregon Coast this year. We hiked, played volleyball on the beach, rode 4-wheelers @ the dunes, and beachcombed. This picture was taken at Shore Acres. A few were off exploring a beach when the picture was taken. We had 32 out of 41 of us attending the reunion this year. Travis is in Afghanistan and his family is in Guam and couldn't be there. Alexis is serving a mission on Temple Square, and Danielle, Markie, and Chelsea were gone. Michelle is 5 months pregnant so our numbers are growing, which is the way that we like it!! We love you guys!!!

Time for a cool change...

Dad and I visited the Oregon coast this past weekend to try out the new RV and take in nature at its best. We had a wonderful time discovering some new things at our old retreat. I finally figured out how to get to the elusive lighthouse, and in the process found a new beach and lots of shells getting there. Shore Acres was spectacular, and several low tides made beachcombing a blast. Our RV was so cozy! It was like staying in a comfy motel or apartment. We can't wait to spend our family reunion there in July!

Sister Alexis Nicole Pomeroy

We dropped off Alexis at the MTC today! The hardest part came when the missionaries exited through the right door of the chapel and the families had to exit out the left door. It was explained to us that saying goodbye and leaving your missionary is like tearing off a band-aid and it should be done quickly! I know it made my eyes water! We are so proud of her decision to serve the Lord and know that she is in His hands.
