Canning butter...



On this very snowy, wintry, fall day, I decided to can butter. It is AWESOME!!! It will keep for 3 to 5 years with no refrigeration. What a great food storage idea, thanks to my friend Joan. Now I will never be without butter, whatever the circumstances might be. Canned butter is a good thing!!

Okay, so it looks like you made two batches of 12 like the recipe calls for...did you find a good price on butter?

The butter is purchased for our canning adventure tomorrow! I am so excited. It looks just so beautiful. I found butter for $1.99 a lbs. Thanks for the recipe! My butter loving daughter will be thrilled to see canned butter on the shelf!
